The Wyandot PTO is always looking for new members and volunteers to help with school needs throughout the year, and there are many opportunities for you to get involved, from one-time events to weekly assistance. See some of the sample descriptions of each opportunity below.

Art Room Assistant - N/A
Volunteers assist our Art teacher in setting up and cleaning up as well as assist during class.
Lunchroom Assistant - N/A
Volunteers assist in getting students to tables, opening containers, and lining up students when lunchtime is over.
Media Center/Library - N/A
Volunteers help students select just-right books, check books in and out, clean and shelve books. One volunteer is needed for each shift (morning/afternoon) daily. Most parents sign up for a shift that includes their child's Media Center time.
Teacher Copy Coordinator - N/A
Volunteers help make photocopies, use the Ellison cutting machine, paper cutter, or laminator to help the teachers prepare materials for their classroom activities. We will provide training on using the tools!
Outdoor Beautification - N/A
Volunteers help maintain landscaping and our outdoor spaces around the school. We also have 2 or 3 Spruce Up Days throughout the school year where we spend a couple of hours freshening up our outdoor areas.
Yearbook - Ongoing
Volunteers are needed to help with taking photos at different events and distribution of our yearbook. No special cameras needed!
Staff Meals - Ongoing
Throughout the year, we provide meals for our staff as they stay late for events such as conferences. Volunteers can help in many ways, such as providing donations and assisting in set up or clean up from the meal.
Walk-A-Thon - Single Event Need
Volunteers help in many areas such as set up, walking with students, cheering, passing out popsicles, and clean up. There are multiple shifts for the event!
Picture Days - Single Event Need
Volunteers assist by calling classes to the gym, help the students look their best, and help the photographer, if requested.
Trunk-or-Treat - Single Event Need
Volunteers assist in directing families, distributing candy to cars and participants as needed, and passing out pizza orders.
Book Fair - Single Event Need
Volunteers help set up and restock shelves, ring up purchases, and reboxing once the Book Fair is finished. Multiple shifts available on Book Fair evenings.
Family Movie Night - Single Event Need
Volunteers set up the snack tables, hand out pizza orders, and assist in cleaning up at the end of the night.
Outdoor Family Fun Night - Single Event Need
Volunteers setup, coordinate activities throughout and help clean up after event.
Giving Tree - Single Event Need
Give back to your Wyandot community by participating in the Giving Tree project. A holiday tree will be placed in Wyandot's lobby with ornaments on it that list gift items for our families to purchase that will then be donated to families in need within our community.
We will have events throughout the year where we will need volunteers and donations. Often times, we need paper products and food items for events such as Walk-a-Thon, Staff Meals, and Staff Appreciation week. We will send home information as these events occur.
